At Van-Ed Equipment, we sell, rent and service attachments and associated components for heavy equipment, such as hydraulic excavators. We are a well-established, locally owned and operated small business looking to add a driven Heavy Duty Technician that brings heavy duty equipment experience to the team.

Hours:

Monday – Friday: 7:30am-4:00pm **overtime may be required on occasion**

Role & Responsibilities:

  • PDI of new attachments for sale
  • Perform both rental prep and rental returns
  • Perform hydraulic component installations (machine plumbing, setups, etc…)
  • Troubleshooting of various attachment and carrier issues

Requirements:

  • Completed Journeyman / Red Seal Heavy Duty Technician
  • Previous work experience in a similar role is a definitive asset
  • Forklift experience
  • Diplomatic and tactful in communications with customers and co-workers
  • Maintain spirit of cooperation with co-workers
  • Motivated self starter that can take and execute directions
  • Can work independently, as well as with a team
  • Must be in good physical condition (ability to stand, walk, sit and handle parts)
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Available on occasion to work outside regular business hours

  • Possesses high interpersonal skills in order to develop and maintain working relationships

Physical Demands:

  • Extensive sitting, standing, walking, pushing and reaching
  • Need full range of motion for reaching, bending, and stooping
  • Lifting of items of up to 50 pounds
  • May work outside and be exposed to weather
  • Fast paced environment
  • Exposure to adverse weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt and dust

License/Certification:

  • Class 5 Driver License
  • Clean Driver’s Abstract
  • Forklift Certification (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Heavy Equipment Industry: >4 years (Preferred)

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday (some weekend work as required)

  • Heavy Duty Technician (Red Seal >4 years preferred)

Work Location: In-person or in a mobile service truck on site
